Storming Life

There was a calm pace to the world it was
Calm like the sea and no waves to be seen.
Then a dull slow day on the horizon
Was broken by a coming storm, with
Waves of unnatural heights and power

These waves while seeming destructive
Had no malice in their plan, just a goal
Crashing from any and all directions
They destroyed nothing but rather revealed
A new world was to be had out of the
Calm sea, a new world that would remain

The new world was not refused but welcomed
A calm sea can not stay that way, it needs
To have it's moment of greatness with a
Violent storm just not every storm seeks
To destroy, this storm was bearing a gift
The offering gave the sea it's greatness
