OK... but did you ever pay attention to this kind of stuff when bush was in office though? Did you ever see what the war was doing to the economy? And I'm not just talking about the fact that we were in debt, I mean litereally the economy. It had a much more radical effect on jobs and such than everyone thinks it did I believe.

Of course he's going to spend a bunch of money, every president does when they get into office. And of course he's going to spend more than ever before, because that's what it would take in the first place to pull us out of this nonsense. I'm not saying that I'm 100% behind it at this point, but I can't help but see the plans he's making and I can only hope that they'll work. Yes, this is radical and new. Yes, he's gonna blow a whole bunch of money. And because of it, many people will be helped. The broadband thing is a little ehh for me, since I don't think it's really -necissary-, though it will bring up a new standard. The medical thing is much more important, especially to older people in the country, and without a doubt is what they have been waiting for, so I don't think you're going to get anywhere complaining about that, it's just a fact of numbers.

The Economic Stimulus plan is not broken down into specific buildings and projects the money will be going to. A certain amount is given to each state and then the state decides what to do with the money (repairs, new buildings, etc.). The money is going to be put to good use- spent on projects that will provide jobs for the unemployed right now. -Not- beaver management like George W. Bush.
